Samsung Semiconductor is hiring a Staff CPU Architecture & Performance Engineer to research and shape next-generation RISC-V CPU architectures for data center and agentic AI workloads. The role covers microarchitectural innovation, performance modeling, workload analysis, architectural simulation, silicon validation, and research leading to patents and publications. It requires a master’s degree or PhD with substantial relevant experience, at least four years of CPU microarchitecture or performance engineering experience, and hands-on experience with RISC-V, ARM, x86, or GPU/NPU cores. The position is daily onsite at the San Jose office and offers a base pay range of $163,000 to $253,000 USD.
