Description
Bayer CropScience is hiring a Staff Engineer for St. Louis, Missouri, to collect, process, transform, and analyze agronomic and geospatial data; build scalable data-processing pipelines, microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, and software systems using Java, Clojure, Scala, Python, Azure, AWS, and GCP BigQuery; support code reviews; and mentor junior engineers. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field, plus three years of agronomic, agriscience, or crop-science experience. Telecommuting is permitted from a home office anywhere in the United States, with up to 25% domestic and international travel required. The salary range is $190,000 to $225,000, with possible bonus or commission and health, vision, dental, retirement, and leave benefits.
