Description
Forter is hiring a Staff Engineer for its Core Engineering group to design, build, and scale backend systems supporting real-time fraud decisioning and external APIs. The role owns projects end-to-end, focuses on low-latency, fault-tolerant, high-throughput distributed systems, and improves observability, reliability, and developer experience. Candidates need 10+ years of backend experience, at least 2 years as a Staff Engineer or equivalent, strong programming skills in Python, Java, Kotlin, or Node.js, and hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies. The position follows a hybrid work model with office attendance at least three days per week for team members near key hubs.
