Ripjar is hiring a Staff Engineer to own software design and technology for a technical area of its Labyrinth Screening SaaS platform. The role involves leading scalable cloud and on-premise software development, architectural decisions, distributed systems, testing, processes, and culture, while mentoring and guiding engineering teams. The position is remote-first and open to UK-wide candidates, with a head office in Cheltenham and an option to work from the office. It requires broad software engineering and technical leadership experience, including big data, distributed systems, production deployment, and familiarity with JavaScript, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, MongoDB, Apache Kafka, EKS, and Kubernetes.
