Vantage is hiring a Staff Engineer to set and own technical strategy across multiple teams, lead significant parallel initiatives, and provide hands-on architecture and implementation. The role covers the full production stack, including frontend, backend, infrastructure, data, B2B API integrations, technical debt, observability, CI tooling, cloud platforms, and developer tooling. The engineer will also mentor senior engineers, review code, establish testing strategy, and balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability. The position is remote-first and based in Toronto, with a requirement for at least nine years of professional software development and architecture experience.
