Scribe is seeking an experienced Staff Backend Engineer to join their Core Engineering team. This role involves leading the development of new features within their Django monolith, focusing on core user experiences such as viewing and editing Scribes, managing Pages, Embeds, Exports, and supporting key Integrations. The ideal candidate will optimize database queries, endpoints, and caching layers for performance and scalability, collaborate with product and design teams, and make architectural decisions. As a Staff Engineer, this individual will also contribute to system design, elevate engineering culture, and mentor other engineers.
