Anthropic is hiring a Staff Engineer on the Datacenter Server Lifecycle team to own the end-to-end operational lifecycle of datacenter machines, from provisioning and deployment through maintenance, repair, refresh, and decommissioning. The role focuses on building automation and tooling for fleet operations, defining trusted-compute standards with Infrastructure Security, coordinating connectivity with Networking, and improving efficiency, performance, and reliability. Candidates need hands-on server-hardware experience, lifecycle-management knowledge, programming ability, cloud and Kubernetes familiarity, and strong cross-functional communication; the position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and follows a hybrid policy with at least 25% office time.
