Wispr is hiring a macOS Platform Engineer to own the architecture of its macOS platform and build a screen-context engine that helps voice and other features understand what is happening on a user’s screen. The role involves setting technical direction across accessibility, native integrations, memory, state, and background behavior; solving performance, correctness, and cross-application issues; expanding Flow’s understanding while protecting performance and privacy; and creating durable foundations for other engineers. The posting seeks candidates who have designed systems or platforms, shipped production desktop code, debug unfamiliar systems, owned quality or UX metrics, and can translate ambiguous technical problems into clear team direction. Prior experience with voice, machine learning, Electron, accessibility APIs, or macOS is not strictly required if the candidate brings exceptional platform depth.
