Description
Yugabyte is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Distributed Storage & Transactions (DST) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering core distributed storage, replication, and transaction features of YugabyteDB. This role involves solving complex challenges in distributed systems such as consistency, durability, fault tolerance, performance, and scalability, while collaborating with various internal teams. The engineer will also contribute to improving database scalability and throughput, streamlining management operations like horizontal cluster scale-out, online schema operations, and rolling upgrades. Additionally, they will identify and implement performance improvements across all relevant layers and mentor other engineers.
