DigitalOcean is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to design and build network automation, orchestration, provisioning, lifecycle management, telemetry, remediation, and infrastructure software for its global network. The role integrates with DPUs, SmartNICs, and programmable network infrastructure, leads architectural decisions and RFCs, establishes engineering standards, and mentors engineers. It requires significant production software experience, distributed systems and networking knowledge, programming in Go, Python, or C++, and strong technical leadership and communication skills. The position is hybrid and offers a base salary of $191,200–$239,000 plus potential bonus and equity.
