Later is hiring a Staff Engineer for its Platform Shared Services group to design scalable, secure, and maintainable distributed services and platforms. The role involves building backend services in C#, TypeScript, Haskell, or Scala; working with SQL and NoSQL databases; containerizing and deploying with Docker and Kubernetes; managing AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure; implementing CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code; applying security and reliability practices; integrating third-party APIs; and exploring AI/ML applications. The engineer will also mentor peers, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and drive architectural and engineering excellence. The role is hybrid and offers OTE of $175,000–$250,000 USD for candidates located in the United States.
