tem is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Pricing to build and manage the backend Pricing API for RED, its modern utility product. The role focuses on fast, correct, reliable pricing of real energy contracts, decoupling pricing logic into a dedicated service, designing error detection and explainability, improving quote speed, and raising engineering standards across the Pricing squad. It requires deep production backend Python, FastAPI and SQL, experience with data-heavy systems, technical direction across teams, and multi-agent workflow design; energy pricing, fintech, AWS, serverless, and Polars experience are desirable.
