Description

SmartLogic is hiring a Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership for project-based custom software delivery, including planning and implementation, team guidance, code review, CI/CD, cloud architecture, AI-assisted development, and pre-sales solutioning. The role is fully remote within the United States and its Territories, reports to the COO, and offers a base salary of $130,000-$155,000 per year plus health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, paid time off, parental leave, and a SIMPLE IRA match.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7+ years of modern software development experience creating custom software for clients
7+ years with Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and Phoenix, plus 2+ years with Flutter and/or React Native
5+ years of DevOps experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, deployment, and tooling
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in a real production codebase
Ability to evaluate AI tools and establish repeatable team workflows
3+ years of experience in a consultancy, not solely product-based companies
Experience with technical discovery, solution design, and estimation for client-facing projects
