Shield AI is hiring a Staff Engineer to lead the development and integration of complex autonomy capabilities for satellites and missile defense applications. The role focuses on large-scale distributed optimization, automated tasking and scheduling, weapons target assignment, motion planning, information fusion, RPO operations, and space vehicle behavior planning. The engineer will develop high-performance software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, support deployment and testing on real space vehicles, and contribute to autonomy roadmaps. The position requires a relevant engineering or computer science degree, substantial related experience, C++ and Python proficiency, RTOS familiarity, simulation experience, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance or higher.
