Description
SPAN is hiring a Staff Firmware Embedded Engineer for its Device Software team to define and implement low-level firmware for hardware products, including bootloaders, C and C++ applications, and RTOS software. The role owns large user-facing features from conception through implementation, works with hardware, software, product, and system architecture teams, and contributes to secure OTA systems, data streaming, code reviews, engineering best practices, and mentorship. Candidates need at least seven years of hardware-device software experience in C++ or C, modern software design knowledge, and experience with electrical communication interfaces; STM32, functional safety, wireless technologies, electronics lab equipment, and clean-energy hardware experience are bonuses.
