Description

The Staff Hardware Development Engineer will own mechanical design and packaging for optical transceiver products, including OSFP, OSFP-XD, QSFP-DD, and other pluggable form factors. The role covers high-density, thermally optimized designs for 100G through 1.6T modules, mechanical architecture decisions, design-for-manufacturing and cost optimization, MSA and customer compliance, product qualification, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with optics, electronics, thermal, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. Candidates need a mechanical engineering degree, at least 8 years of mechanical product design experience including 3 years in optical modules or compact electronic systems, Creo Parametric or equivalent CAD expertise, and experience with precision machining, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes.
