Lightmatter is hiring a Staff Hardware Test & Bring-Up Engineer to lead automated system-level hardware testing from bring-up through mass production ramp. The role focuses on ATE hardware bring-up, photonic IC electrical bring-up, Python or C/C++ test software, and collaboration with IC design, DFT, and firmware teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, at least 8 years of hands-on hardware bring-up and ATE experience, and expertise in power sequencing, JTAG, QSPI/QPI, I2C, SPI, firmware diagnostics, and bench instrumentation. The role offers a base salary of $167,000–$193,000 USD, equity, and a flexible hybrid workplace model.
