Description
Intuitive is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead perception and scene-understanding systems for the da Vinci robotic surgical platform. The role focuses on deep learning for surgical image understanding, probabilistic spatial modeling, 3D scene reasoning, real-time inference, and end-to-end model development from research prototype through production deployment. The engineer will collaborate with surgeons, clinical scientists, human factors engineers, and software teams, mentor junior engineers and research scientists, and contribute to intellectual property. The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field, extensive postgraduate industry or applied research experience, expertise in computer vision and probabilistic modeling, C++ and Python/PyTorch proficiency, and a track record of publications or patents.
