Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Sonatus

Sonatus is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development and deployment of Edge AI for in-vehicle health monitoring and failure prediction. The role owns the end-to-end machine learning pipeline, including data ingestion, model training, cloud and on-device inference, model optimization, and architecture for resource-constrained automotive systems. The engineer will work with logs, traces, CAN and sensor signals, LLM APIs, anomaly detection, and embedded inference engines, while mentoring junior engineers. The position is hybrid in Sunnyvale, California, with three days per week in the office, and offers a base salary of $197,500 to $272,000 USD.
