ZipRecruiter is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to serve as a technical anchor for its machine learning and AI capabilities. Reporting to the Director of Recommendation Systems, the role owns foundational algorithmic architecture, high-throughput production systems, recommendation and matching algorithms, and two-sided marketplace dynamics. Responsibilities include defining the ML roadmap, architecting scalable systems, optimizing real-time prediction and ranking, mentoring engineers and data scientists, and driving model ownership through experimentation and deployment. The position offers a hybrid work environment with most US-based work performed remotely and a full-time US base salary of $205,000-$265,000.
