Snap Inc. is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of next-generation search ranking systems. The role owns ranking initiatives from problem definition through experimentation, launch, and iteration; develops relevance, personalization, intent, quality, and engagement models; partners with product, data science, and engineering teams; and provides technical leadership across teams. The position requires strong machine learning, programming, large-scale infrastructure, experimentation, and production systems experience, along with a relevant bachelor’s degree and substantial post-grad machine learning experience. The role follows a default-together policy requiring office attendance four or more days per week, with base salaries ranging from $195,000 to $343,000 annually depending on the work location, plus equity.
