Description
The Staff Machine Protection System Engineer will lead safety-critical machine protection systems for the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource at SLAC, including modernizing legacy interlock infrastructure to PLC-based architectures, developing PLC logic and HMIs, commissioning and testing protection systems, maintaining documentation and configuration control, and providing technical direction and 24/7 operational support. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering or scientific discipline and at least five years of relevant experience, with a stated annual pay range of $168,000 to $200,000.
