Description

Form Energy is hiring a Staff Manufacturing Engineer for its cathode advanced manufacturing team. The role owns the design, sourcing, and commissioning of high-volume assembly operations, including conveyance, mechanical joining and welding, vision systems, and inspection systems; influences design for manufacturability; manages DFMEAs, risk, and project timelines; and leads a group of manufacturing engineers. The position is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, West Virginia, with relocation assistance available.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including introducing novel equipment and automated systems into production
Experience designing high-volume automation cells with complex conveyance, multi-axis robots, gantries, and custom end-of-arm tooling
Working knowledge of controls and electrical engineering and cross-disciplinary requirements translation
Working knowledge of vision systems, with hands-on experience preferred
Experience with mechanical and adhesive joining and welding methods
Project management and organizational skills, including coordination and direction of other engineers
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on vision systems experience
