Intuitive is hiring a Staff Mechanical Engineer to sustain and improve the performance, reliability, capacity, cost, and supply-chain performance of complex surgical instruments, particularly advanced-energy devices. The role involves analyzing instruments and components, developing and testing designs, investigating defects, supporting manufacturing and suppliers, leading small technical teams, mentoring engineers, and contributing to new product development. Candidates need extensive mechanical design and manufacturing experience, a relevant bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree, and strong CAD, materials, GD&T, and reliability skills; medical-device and vessel-sealing experience are preferred.
