Flex is hiring a Staff Mechanical Engineer in Kallang, Singapore to lead mechanical design for power supply units, battery and power bus units, power conversion units, and data-center shelves. The role involves 3D modeling and drawings, engineering bills of materials, specifications, packaging, failure analysis, thermal and reliability testing, manufacturing instructions, and early-stage design-for-manufacturing reviews. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, at least 10 years of mechanical design experience including 8 years in sheet-metal or plastic enclosure design, strong English communication, and familiarity with energy storage, chassis, battery, busbar, connector, insulation, PCB stacking, and package validation.
