Description
Axon is hiring a Staff Mechanical Engineer, Communications Hardware to own mechanical design and development from concept through high-volume production for ruggedized, wireless-connected public-safety devices. The role leads mechanical, electro-mechanical, RF, thermal, sealing, durability, ergonomics, and manufacturing integration; develops prototypes and validation plans; and partners with industrial design, electrical, RF, product management, and manufacturing teams. It requires 12+ years of mechanical product design experience, 5+ years of technical leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. The position is hybrid, with onsite work Tuesday through Friday at one of three regional hubs in New York City, Boston, or Scottsdale, Arizona, and offers a base salary of $108,750 to $189,750 USD plus bonus and equity.
