Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Overhead Transmission Line Engineer for its Dallas-Fort Worth region to support the Transmission & Distribution practice. The role focuses on overhead transmission line design and engineering responsibilities including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structure analysis, sag-tension calculations, wire blowout, clearance reports, specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and field installation supervision. Candidates need an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 2 to 3 years of transmission engineering experience depending on education path, strong civil/structural engineering knowledge, communication and analytical skills, and preferred expertise with high-voltage line design tools and EIT certification.
