Description
Lightmatter is hiring a Staff Photonics Design and Layout Engineer to floorplan, design, and layout block- and chip-scale photonic circuits; support photonic products from concept through tapeout and bring-up; verify performance; integrate on-chip photonics with analog, digital, and packaging systems; and contribute to photonic layout, verification, integration flows, and PDK development. The role requires an MS plus 10 years or a PhD plus 3 years of relevant industry experience, silicon photonics expertise, Python proficiency, script-based photonic circuit design experience, and multiple photonic tapeouts. The base salary is $175,000–$230,000 USD, with equity and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.
