Description
Chainguard is hiring its first Staff Platform Database Engineer to define and operate a consistent, resilient, and scalable database platform across engineering teams. The role involves inventorying existing databases, improving replication, high availability, backups, disaster recovery, migrations, capacity planning, and global availability, building production tooling and governance, and leading company-wide infrastructure initiatives. It requires 8+ years of production database and platform infrastructure experience, strong PostgreSQL and MySQL knowledge, Go programming, cloud and Linux experience, and cross-functional leadership.
