Fieldguide is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to design and build the foundational platform services, APIs, shared primitives, and internal developer tools that support its product surfaces and AI agents. The role leads platform architecture and standards across product, AI, and infrastructure teams, drives reliability and scalability, and mentors senior and mid-level engineers. It is based in San Francisco, open to remote candidates anywhere in the United States, and requires Bay Area employees to work in a hybrid setting. The position requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant platform or foundational application service work, along with expertise in APIs, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
