Shield AI is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to build and operate Kubernetes-native platform services for Forge, the company’s AI Factory. The role focuses on distributed orchestration, data-processing infrastructure, reusable platform components, reference architectures, observability, and reliability across commercial cloud, on-premises, sovereign, edge, and air-gapped environments. It is a hands-on technical leadership position requiring significant distributed-systems experience, production software engineering in Go and Python, and the ability to define architecture and standards while partnering with autonomy, ML, simulation, test, infrastructure, and product teams.
