Description
Ford is hiring a Power Electronics Engineer to design, bring up, characterize, troubleshoot, and industrialize high-voltage traction inverters and PCBA assemblies. The role includes worst-case, functional safety, thermal, control, and failure analyses; design validation; end-of-line testing; and collaboration with mechanical, software, systems, project management, and supply chain teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent education and experience, at least 8 years of power-electronics product development experience, and familiarity with PCB design, IGBT/MOSFET devices, gate drivers, and three-phase traction inverters. The position is a Level 6 leadership role with a base salary range of $150,200 to $283,500, hybrid work, and visa sponsorship.
