Description

AppGate is hiring a Staff or Principal Platform Engineer for its AI Platform & Infrastructure team in New York City on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on building and operating the cloud and AI/ML infrastructure behind AppGate’s security products, including Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, observability, data pipelines, MLOps, and reliable automation at scale. The engineer will work closely with data scientists, product teams, and leadership to define platform standards, improve reliability, and support next-generation security capabilities such as AI-driven threat detection and agentic AI systems.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of platform, infrastructure, or SRE engineering experience for Staff level; 12+ years for Principal level
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or similar MLOps tooling
Knowledge of TCP/IP, TLS, tunneling, routing, DNS, and firewalling
Familiarity with ZTNA, VPN, SDP, SASE, or software-defined networking
Cross-functional collaboration with data science, product, and leadership
Technical leadership and mentorship
