Description
Sila is hiring a Process Design Engineer for its Capital Projects team to develop and implement auto-scale battery-material manufacturing facilities. The role covers bulk-material-handling systems from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction, start-up, and initial operation, including heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, process control documentation, safety deliverables, and commissioning support. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or a related engineering field, at least six years of industrial process design, commissioning, and operations experience, and proficiency with process simulation tools. The position requires up to 50% travel to new production sites during construction, commissioning, and startup, and offers a starting base pay of $151,000 to $191,000.
