Google is hiring a Data Scientist/Analytics Engineer for its Communications & Time Management team to support Gmail, Chat, and Calendar. The role leads research and development of user-engagement and productivity metrics, evaluates GenAI and agentic tooling, connects product engineering with data infrastructure, builds scalable data models and analytical architecture, and enables self-serve analytics through semantic layers, metric stores, executive dashboards, and AI-powered tools. The position requires a quantitative bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant analytics, statistical analysis, and coding experience, or a master's degree with 8 years of experience. Compensation is $192,000–$278,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
