PayPal is hiring a Staff Product Security Engineer, AI Security to protect AI-assisted software development, AI-enabled products and agentic systems, and vulnerability detection and remediation. The hands-on individual contributor will lead technical direction, architecture reviews, control design, implementation, and delivery across security, engineering, product, and platform teams. The role requires at least five years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination, along with application security, programming, cloud, authentication, and AI/LLM security expertise. It is based in Austin or Chicago with a balanced hybrid model and an annual base pay range of $160,500 to $238,700.
