Fivetran is hiring a Staff R&D Software Engineer for its AI team to research retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI techniques, prototype and ship production software, define technical direction across teams, build backend and frontend systems, advance AISQL, and support reliability, testing, QA, mentoring, and hiring. The role requires 8+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, SQL and data-warehouse experience, and full-stack versatility; it is a full-time hybrid position based in Austin, Texas, with two office days per week.
