Description
The Environmental Scientist conducts environmental site investigations, air, water, material, and soil sampling and analysis, and evaluates risks and remediation strategies. The role prepares permits, risk assessments, technical reports, proposals, and regulatory correspondence; designs environmental protection systems; performs field data collection; and may supervise lower-level scientists, engineers, and technicians. It requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field plus at least three years of related experience, or seven years of experience in lieu of a degree; a master’s degree is preferred, and field-expertise certification is required.
