Description
The Staff Scientist will support environmental consulting projects by conducting wetland delineations, GPS field data collection, GIS mapping, threatened and endangered species reviews, and environmental-regulation compliance. The role includes field site visits, data evaluation, report preparation, proposal development, collaboration with scientists and consultants, guidance of junior staff, and supervision of lower-level scientists, engineers, or technicians. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science or a related field, wetland-delineation expertise, GPS and GIS skills, and at least three years of related experience are required; USACE 404 permitting experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.
