Nscale is hiring a Staff Security Engineer to build trustworthy security data pipelines and detection capabilities for Cyber Defense. The role owns security-source inventory, collects and monitors data from APIs, event streams, object stores, and internal systems, establishes data quality and reliability controls, and develops behavioral baselines, anomaly detection, cross-source correlations, and repeatable detections. It also supports major incidents, prepares curated datasets for AI-assisted analysis, and collaborates with Security Operations and source-system teams. The position requires 8+ years of relevant experience, cloud-warehouse and streaming-system expertise, and knowledge of security telemetry; it offers a $190,000–$230,000 USD base salary plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
