Description

ServiceNow is hiring a Staff Software Engineer – AI Native Development to lead the architecture, design, delivery, and evolution of major AI-powered security systems and subsystems. The role combines hands-on full-stack engineering with technical leadership across distributed services, APIs, data systems, cloud infrastructure, LLM and agentic workflows, retrieval, model evaluation, observability, and AI safety. The engineer will own significant technical areas, set architectural standards, mentor engineers, and help establish AI-native development practices.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience designing and delivering production software systems.
Experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered applications in a production or near-production environment.
Modern AI experience involving LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, agentic workflows, model evaluation, or AI observability.
Strong programming experience in Python and/or Java, Go, or a similar language.
Experience with cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, APIs, databases, and scalable architectures.
Preferred Qualifications: Cybersecurity or security-product experience
