The Staff Engineer will lead the system design and hands-on delivery of a data-intensive web product on Microsoft Azure, owning services, APIs, the Next.js layer, integrations, security, and production performance. The role combines architectural judgment with implementation, focusing on large-scale data processing, SQL and NoSQL optimization, caching, search, asynchronous processing, distributed systems, observability, testing, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, experience at a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Software Architect, or equivalent level, and deep hands-on Java, Go or Python, TypeScript, React, and Next.js skills.
