Description
Credit Karma is hiring a foundational data-platform engineer to build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency data frameworks, Scala-based microservices, cloud-native pipelines, Kafka infrastructure, persistence layers, encryption and access-control capabilities, and self-service developer tooling. The role requires 7+ years of backend and distributed-systems experience, strong Scala, Java, or JVM experience, and expertise with streaming platforms, cloud data services, RPC frameworks, and software engineering practices. Preferred qualifications include reusable framework development, Apache Beam, CDC, encryption, schema governance, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, and technical leadership.
