D-Wave is hiring a Staff Software Developer for its Processor Software team to develop and maintain software that interacts directly with quantum processors in production and laboratory environments. The role leads software architecture and technical direction, develops high-performance, multithreaded systems, optimizes hardware interfaces and operational infrastructure, mentors developers, and participates in on-call support for QPU solvers on the Leap cloud. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree, at least seven years of software development experience, hardware-integrated systems experience, and the ability to work from D-Wave's Burnaby office during onboarding and for at least two weeks annually. The position requires a Tier 2 background investigation and an active or qualifying U.S. government security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
