JetBrains is hiring a Staff Software Developer for its IntelliJ Platform team to lead plugin-development ecosystem initiatives, re-architect core subsystems for flexible and portable settings, and manage the deprecation cycle for the IntelliJ Platform API. The role requires extensive platform architecture and systems design experience, JVM concurrency knowledge, Kotlin coroutines, technical writing, architectural foresight, and large-scale monorepo refactoring; developer tools, UI frameworks, database internals, and network applications are preferred. The position offers flexible work arrangements, including remote work and up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad.
