Description
PENN Entertainment is hiring a Staff Engineer for its Enablement team to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable platform capabilities. The role owns services and integrations supporting GraphQL APIs, event-driven architecture, regulatory compliance, gRPC, SQL, observability, and customer-facing applications, while also mentoring engineers and improving system reliability and performance. Candidates need 7+ years of software engineering experience, strong distributed-systems and computer-science foundations, experience with Elixir, Java, Rust, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, testing frameworks, and AI, and familiarity with high-throughput domains. The position is remote and offers a CAD 170,000–220,000 base salary range.
