JetBrains is hiring a Staff Software Developer for its IntelliJ Platform team. The role focuses on developing and improving the plugin ecosystem, defining APIs and documentation, re-architecting core subsystems for flexible and portable settings, and managing the deprecation cycle for the IntelliJ Platform API. The position requires extensive platform architecture and systems design experience, JVM concurrency knowledge, Kotlin coroutines, technical writing, architectural foresight, and large-scale monorepo refactoring; developer tools, UI frameworks, database internals, and network applications are preferred. The role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote work and up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad.
