Description
Apple Services Engineering is hiring a Lead Engineer/Architect to own the technical vision for Elastic Disk's replication and metadata systems. The role will evolve replication protocols, durability mechanisms, repair and reconstruction, metadata checksums, backups, snapshots, performance, and network data paths, while mentoring engineers and leading cross-organization technical initiatives. Candidates need at least 10 years of professional software development experience, 5+ years designing and operating large-scale distributed storage or database systems, deep systems-level language expertise, distributed-systems fundamentals, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
