This role involves setting technical strategy, collaborating across product development, acting as a force-multiplier for the team, managing operations, fostering a culture of quality, and helping develop talent. The successful candidate will also participate in an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate has over seven years of experience designing and developing scalable backend systems using Python or Kotlin, with a focus on highly available distributed systems built with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes. Knowledge of Spark and task orchestration systems like Airflow or Temporal is essential, along with strong communication skills.
