Alarm.com is hiring a Staff Software Engineer – SDA Platform to lead the architectural evolution of its SDA platform, including shared libraries, proxy APIs, developer tooling, and the decomposition of tightly coupled monolith concerns into well-bounded services. The role involves hands-on coding, technical leadership, architecture reviews, cross-team guidance, observability and operational readiness, and mentorship. It requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, strong C# and .NET Core expertise, distributed systems and microservices experience, and familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, and modern observability tools. The position is hybrid, with employees working from the office four days per week, and offers a base salary of $150,000–$190,000 USD.
